The idea behind memorybears.com came about through an unlikely and unfortunate event: the passing away of a loved one. On September 13, 2006 we lost our dad in an unexpected accident. Our mom, coping with the loss of her husband of 36 years, asked her daughter-in-law, Heidi, if she could create teddy bears from some of Dad’s shirts and shorts. Heidi, a talented and gifted seamstress and daughter of one of Peru’s best clothes designers, Carmen Bedoya, created the six charming bears pictured on our homepage.

Based in the middle of Happy Valley, Utah, memorybears.com is owned and operated by Cameron & Heidi and Matt & Jamee Gibbs. Every bear made is carefully designed and hand-crafted by Heidi, Jamee or one of our talented team members.
