Just about anything can be used to make a memory bear. All types of shirts, pants, uniforms, table cloths, linens, graduation gowns, wedding gowns, night gowns, house dress, christening or baptism clothes, blankets/quilts, overalls, baby clothes/bibs/blankets, bathrobes/towels, aprons etc. Remember, the stiffness and/or softness of each bear will depend upon the fabric provided.

We recommend you avoid fabrics that are too stretchy, silky (slippery) or too thin. However, if those are the garments that are most special to you, we can still create a special bear from them. Please be advised it may take a little longer to complete a bear made from these types of fabrics.

We don’t wash the fabric for you. You may decide you want to retain the scent of the clothing and send it the way it is. If the item you send happens to be stained the stain may become part of the bear unless you request that we work around the stain. Please be as specific as possible with your order to prevent any unnecessary delays. Every effort will be made to take great care of your items.

Memory Bears can be made from any amount of clothing. For the Memory Bear to be made entirely from one piece of clothing, it will require one adult shirt or shorts or pants. You can also combine different articles of clothing to add variation and extra character to your memory bear.

If you are sending small items, such as children’s clothing, and you'd like the bears to be made entirely of the clothes you provide, please send multiple pieces. If there isn’t enough fabric to complete your order with the clothes you send we can supplement your fabric with a solid colored fabric.

Please have your fabric ironed and placed inside a plastic bag before putting it into a padded envelope or box to ship. We understand that the packaging may create some folds in the fabric. This is ok. We will not wash the fabric. You may decide you want to retain the scent of the clothing and send it the way it is. We recommend you always request a tracking number when you send your clothing to us. This can be done through UPS, USPS, Fedex or DHL. We are not responsible for damage due to loss of the package or clothing during shipping. We will not be able to return any remaining fabric. Current turn-around time: 3 - 4 weeks

Memory Bears usually take between 3 - 4 weeks to complete. Large orders and orders received during peak holiday seasons will take longer. We will call you or e-mail you if your order will take longer than 4 weeks.

We will send your Memory Bear insured via UPS or FedEx Ground. Shipping charges are automatically added upon checkout. Shipping costs are $4.00 for each Memory Bear ordered plus a packaging fee of $8.95 for your entire order. For example, an order for three Memory Bears would cost $8.95 packaging fee + $12.00 ($4 for each bear) = $20.95 Total.

We accept payment made through our website through PayPal which accepts all major credit cards such as Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. You may also send us a check or money order.
